From a Simple Question to a Farm
In 2021, Dilsfarm began with a disruptive question: Why is it so hard to find honest, unadulterated milk in the city? Armed with five lakh rupees of personal savings and zero corporate backing, Dileep Nalla bought two native milking cows and set up a micro-dairy in his ancestral village of Patuvardhanam.
For two years, it was a grueling masterclass in grit — managing farm operations before sunrise, then pivoting to a corporate software career through the day. Every paycheck channeled right back into the soil, infrastructure, and local hands.
By 2023, the single-digit herd grew to thirty native cows. In June 2024, we launched our own independent pasteurization and packing unit — built piece-by-piece with personal capital, choosing self-reliance over bank debt.
Today we deliver pure, cold-chain protected milk within hours of milking to families across Rajam. We are intentionally small — because it means we can answer the one question every family deserves to ask: "Where did my milk come from?"
